Thrush Mouth Symptoms

 

Thrush mouth symptoms are important to know. Ordinary, thrush has a sudden manifestation, sometime it is chronic and resists during a long time.

It is easy to discover this infection because of the presence of creamy white, a little raised lesion in your oral cavity localized mainly on your tongue, the roof, in the cheeks, often on the gum, back of your throat, and bleed when you try to brush your teeth or scrape them.

Usually they have a “cottage cheese” aspect. It is not unusual to watch them spread into your oesophagus, and cause.

• Some problem (pain) when you swallow.

 

• If the infection tends to spread beyond the oesophagus, it is easy to feel fever.

Other important parts may be affected by these lesions such: lungs, skin, and liver. They are frequent in people with HIV and cancer.

 

It is for your dentist or your physician to identify this infection during a simple mouth evaluation.

This lesion is characterized by white lesions on your tongue, cheeks or on your mouth. While slight brushing, the creamy white goes away and leaves a tender, reddened area which can bleed easily.

Sometime the lesion may spread to oesophagus. At this stage several other tests are important to make the diagnosis.

Among which you can perform an endoscopies of your stomach or oesophagus, and small in testine.

The evaluation consists to use a lighted camera placed on the tip of tube that will pass through these different regions), an x ray of oesophagus may be taken and ultimately a throat culture may be realized.

The latter is performed with sterile cotton used to swab the back of your throat for being studied under a microscope.

Moreover a piece of tissue from this lesion studied at the laboratory can confirm the diagnosis.

It is important to see earlier your dentist for a good evaluation when you feel the above thrush mouth symptoms.
