Thrush Mouth

Thrush mouth represents a yeast infection (known like Candida).

Normally you have these micro organism that live in and around you. For a reason or another you can have an over growth of a fungus called Candida albicans.

In the mouth, bacteria live without causing damage to you but the thrush may proliferate enormously if anything comes to trouble the balance.

In the case of infection, many people get antibiotic without medical control. So,the excessive use of antibiotic can destroy all of good bacteria and bad bacteria in your mouth.

Generally, antibiotics don’t arrive to make difference between good and bad bacteria.

When some of them live with you without big problem, others cause illness like meningitis, malaria etc.

They are often even deadly. So, your body with its immune system has to work to fight bad invading micro organisms.

This work is done while facilitating a balance between bad and good organisms that are normal residing in the mouth.

It is not unusual the protective processes can sometime fail. At this moment your immune system is unable to protect you against harmful microbes.

More often, the use of antibiotic or other drugs like prednisone can disturb this balance.

You have to mention also some disease which can weak your defence system and expose you to infection.

So, oral thrush and other Candida infections are opportunist infections and manifest mainly in such situation.
