• Easily in the upper jaw sinusitis
(inflammation of this sinuses) maybe mistaken for toothache.
• Inflammation of the gum while
teething.
Many reasons can cause intense or sharp pain
in the mouth, the true diagnosis will be established by
your dentist.
How to prevent
toothache
The best way to avoid using toothache relief
pain is to keep your mouth healthy.
You need to control the amount of sugary
foods or drinks intake everyday. All tooth decay must be
treated by fillings.
During brushing teeth, use a
toothbrush with soft bristles. You have to respect brushing
rules for not traumatizing gums.
The use of toothpaste with fluoride is
recommended in order to neutralize bacteria activities.
It is better to use dental floss instead of woods ticks to
clean between your teeth.
Very often woods ticks damage your teeth
(abrasion) and they become more tender to decay. You need to
plan regular visit with your dentist.
What can you do with
your toothache?
If you have pulpitis, your dentist can help
you find a good solution. This stage is still reversible.
Treat early your tooth decay prevents tooth
abscess and other complications.
Until you see your dentist, these following
tips may helps you enormously:
• Avoid all things that can start or
increase your pain like hot, cold or sweet food.
• If the pain is caused by a tooth that
erupts, the use of a lot salt water mouthwash ( a cup of water
added of a teaspoon of salt) to rinse the affected area will
decrease the pain. The same technique is useful in case of
mouth ulcers to prevent infection.
• In case of prolonged and severe pain, the
administration of ibuprofen is recommended (400mg 1 tablet
three times a day) with antibiotic (penicillin 500mg 1 tablet
three times a day) .
You have to notice for simple pain the use
of paracetamol is efficient to stop a toothache.
• But if you suffer from stomach problem or
if you are pregnant woman, it is better to see your doctor
before.
For a first aid, in case of severe
toothache, the use of paracetamol with antibiotic like
penicillin may stop or reduce toothache in pregnant woman.
• If your tooth root is exposed, tooth paste
for sensitive used like massage onto the exposed part or while
brushing may help greatly.
• After eating or during the pain, take a
mouth of water and rinse vigorously your mouth to dislodge any
trapped food.
Toothache is a true problem that can block
your activities.
It is important to apply good
oral hygiene and keep in touch with your
dentist for regular cheek up mainly during pregnancy. So,
you will not need to use toothache relief pain.
